Chrysanthemums turns lonely into laughing
Easter is usually a time for family and for being together with loved ones.
Easter is usually a time for family and for being together with loved ones. During this unprecedented period of social distancing, many people are feeling the strain of isolation. This is all the more true for our older generations who spend their time almost exclusively indoors for the fear of the novel corona virus.
Seeing the need for a boost of spirits, a group of young people from Den Bosch, working through the organization Roteract, distributed hundreds of bunches of Kiepflower’s chrysanthemums over the Easter weekend.
The reactions to the extra contact and attentions from the Roteract team were all positive, ranging from wide grins to tears of joy.
Kiepflower hopes to be a part of further actions in the local area, sharing flowers that would otherwise be wasted in this economically trying times for many Dutch flower growers.
